Catholic Church: sexual molestation and an order of silence to go

During the early 80s Rev. James Gigliotti notified church officials in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia that a Priest in NE Philly was molesting boys, Rev. John Graf, an assistant chancellor under then-Cardinal John Krol told him
"This comes from the highest authority: You're to keep your mouth shut"
Gigliotti is the first priest that has publicly admitted the archdiocese made the Golden Rule known: Silence is golden.

The Archdiocese removed the offending priest, Rev. James J. Brzyski, from his parish quickly but never told parishioners the reason for his removal. The Archdiocese also did not tell the police and Brzyski was able to continue molesting at least one of his 10 known victims for years afterwards.
